We love Key West and so will you. There is plenty to see near all of our properties. We will introduce you to some of our favorite things to do in Key West!
Sites and Activities
Located one block from Grand Maison and Petite Maison, the Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory is one of the island’s most popular family-friendly attractions. It’s home to more than 60 species of butterflies and 20 species of exotic birds. A visit to the Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory is divided between the climate-controlled conservatory where the butterflies flutter freely, the learning center, an art gallery and a gift shop.
Mallory Square has always been the hub of Key West’s social and commercial life from the time of the city’s beginning in the early 1820’s. Fast forward a century-and-a-half and you will find that Mallory Square is still the center of Key West with restaurants, shops, theater, museums, live entertainment and the most spectacular sunsets to be found anywhere. Only a quick bike ride from Potter’s Cottage, Grand Maison, and Petite Maison, Mallory Square is a must see!
For the cleanest beach and best waters in Key West, you should head for Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park. Here, you can sunbathe, snorkel, swim, fish, hike, bike, and get a dose of history all in one place. When visiting this park, make sure to check out the historic fort. Florida’s southernmost state park is a short bike ride from Potter’s Cottage, Grand Maison, and Petite Maison.
The Dry Tortugas National Park offers a variety of exciting activities and amazing scenery while providing a sense of history. Located on a remote island off Key West, The Dry Tortugas is guaranteed to offer you a unique experience and plenty of stories to take back home. We highly recommend The Dry Tortugas Seaplane Excursion!
